We have spent the past five days (May 19-23) in Santorini and Mykonos, two islands in the Aegean Sea. These are two well known islands and popular tourist desinations. Prior to visiting both islands, I was under the impression that the islands were very similar, but after asking locals for recommendations about what to do in each island, and spending two days on each island, it is clear that they are very different. Each island offers it’s own unique culture and experience.
The island of Santorini is located southeast from Athens, and we took a 30 minute flight from Athens to the island.
