A Small Bookshop in the Paradise Island of Oia, Santorini

I visited Oia in Santorini island last year for the first time, it is almost impossible to describe the beauty of this small village. It almost like a living postcard, with its small white houses that are carved out of the hills and those gorgeous sunsets that you will never forget.

Oia is also blessed with one of the 10 best bookshops in the world. Atlantis bookshop is a place that you have to visit if you are planning to spend your summer holidays there. Apart from the great books that you can buy, the bookshop has a fascinating origin story that will inspire you.

Craig Walze, one of the founders of the bookshop gave an awesome speech about the bookshops in 2012 TEDx conference that took place in Athens:

The bookshop has an amazing cozy, homey atmosphere. You will notice books on shelves almost everywhere. The have a great selection of books from rare editions to poetry readings, theater performances, even movie screenings and other sorts of cultural events.
